Spy smart glasses actually exist!

North has recently launched the Focals smart glasses. They are equipped with a tiny little laser on the right arm, which can project the time, your phone notifications, the weather forecast. It can also give walking directions and even allows you to call an Uber.

You can buy them in stores in the US or Canada but are also available online. Price starts from $599 and goes up depending on whether you want different frames or prescription lenses.

The glasses come with a smart ring to control what appears on your glass screen.

The main menu displays the time (very useful for those who are always late!). Swipe left and you can read all your recent notification, just like on your phone. Swipe right and you can see your text messages. You can actually respond to them either using pre written messages, or using your voice, thanks to the microphone installed in the glasses too.

If you keep swiping over to the right, you can see your calendar, your location and the option to map: Focals can provide walking direction however, for safety reasons, the glasses automatically switch off when you are driving.

North has recently added other very useful functionality. You can now choose the music your phone is playing, adjust the volume and share your ETA.

Focals need a special case to be charged, which is quite imposing. The charge lasts for 18 hours, so you would need to charge it every night.

For those interested, Vlogger Ashley Carman actually bought them and provides her insight on the Focals in this video.
