Samsung's Trio Of New Robots

At the CES event, earlier this year, Samsung introduced something very different from its usual appliances and TV ranges and definitely much more exciting: a range of robots!

Please meet: Bot Care, Bot Air and Bot Retail

These three bots are Samsung's latest innovation. All have the ability to move around and two of them (Air and Care) are designed specifically for the house.

The Bot Care robot will offer direct at-home medical support and is essentially a health care assistant that's perfect for helping elders and disabled users. It will move from room to room, be able to monitor prescriptions and also check heart rates thanks to its finger scan. Moreover, it can detect whether you have fallen over and it will call for help if needed. Oh and when it's not trying to save your life it can help you with yoga lessons!

The Bot Air is the smallest out of the three and it appears to have a tray on its head which is used to monitor the air quality and purify the air. It will run around the house and make sure your house is always clean. We must say that it looks like a cute version of Wall-E.

The Bot Retail is a tall upstanding black robot which features a large display on the front and a shelving system around the back, which allows it to deliver food or other items. The idea is that it can give shoppers or diners the possibility to ask it questions.

For the moment these are only early prototypes but it does show us in which direction Samsung is going and that it wants to become a real first-class competitor in the robot industry. We love the look of these three bots and believe that they could really be successful in the future where almost everything will be done by robots.

What about you? Which one would you like to have living in your house?
