Apple recently dropped an updated version of their much beloved AirPods. And let us tell you: they do not disappoint.

While Apple retained the iconic design of the wildly popular first generation, the upgraded Apple AirPods bring a number of handy and welcome improvements, headlined by better wireless connectivity, increased battery life, and the ability to interact with Siri hands-free.

The new Apple AirPods launched alongside an all-new, wireless charging case, meaning you can cut yet another cord from your life. The optional accessory is compatible with all Qi wireless chargers, allowing you to effortlessly charge the AirPods just like your iPhone. The completely wireless earbuds are an even better version of an already excellent product, although Apple hasn’t addressed many of the long-standing complaints leveled at the AirPods, such as their fit and ability to work in noisy environments.

Overall, the wireless charging ability is a nice convenience, but it doesn’t drastically change the AirPods experience. If you’re already charging your phone on a wireless pad or have one that can charge multiple devices at the same time (but sadly, isn’t Apple’s still-not-available AirPower mat), it’s nice to be able to charge your AirPods case the same way.

The second generation AirPods cost $160 with a regular case and $200 with a wireless charging case. (The wireless charging case can also be purchased separately for $80 and works with both generations of AirPods.)
