How many times
have you wanted to use fresh and local products while cooking your meals but
then remembered you live in an apartment and have no garden? Well if this is
your case then we might have a solution for your: OGarden Smart. This new and
innovative indoor gardening system allows you to grow fresh products straight
from the comfort of your home all year round.
OGarden Smart
has a very sleek design and it can grow up to 90 veggies and fruits (such as
leafy greens, herbs, cherry tomatoes and many more) at the same time. Not only
is it very convenient, but it is also easy to use. You start by placing your
selected seeds in growing cups in the nursery cabinet, then when the seeds
sprout you transfer them to the wheel where they will be able to grow large
enough to harvest. The rotating wheel can host up to 60 plants and has an
automatic watering system which continuously provides the exact amount of water
to all plants. Moreover, the low energy led simulates the perfect amount of
sunlight that the plants require, allowing you not to worry about tomorrow’s
weather anymore.
However, there
are some downsides to this product. The first one being that you cannot grow
root vegetables which excludes a large variety of products that you might
enjoying eating fresh. The second is that you can only buy the pods necessary
to grow the plants directly from the company and their prices are rather steep. Lastly the price of the machine itself is also rather high, coming in at just over one thousand dollars.
Finally, we must
say that there are many competitors to this product in the market, but none of
the ones we have seen so far looks nearly as nice or is as easy to use as OGarden
Smart. So we do believe that this company could have great success.
